The sanctuary begins as a small plot of land, about 57 by 43 meters, bounded by horos stones and centered on an altar. One spring rises inside the stones. A second spring, an old oak and the rising ground to the north lie on the god’s land outside them, and come inside as the boundary is drawn wider. A work is paid for as it goes up: a fifth down, the rest by the year, and a tenth held until the work is approved. Upkeep is charged per year.
